What is the best haircut for a woman with a long face, prominent nose and very thick coarse hair:?

go for steps. What is the best haircut for a woman with a long face, prominent nose and very thick coarse hair:?
Have a conditioning treatment on your hair. Also, look through magazines to find a style that you like. You might consider having layers; this gives your hair more movement. Keep your hair shoulder length and the layers will help control the thickness.

Most important; find a good hairdresser who really understands how to match the hairstyle to the face shape; many hairdressers aren't that great in this respect! What is the best haircut for a woman with a long face, prominent nose and very thick coarse hair:?

Does shaving hair on head for woman stimulate hair growth? thicker & longer?

No. Complete Myth.Does shaving hair on head for woman stimulate hair growth? thicker %26amp; longer?
There are actually only two proven ways to stimulate hair growth. Mechanical and Chemical Induction of hair growth.

MECHANICAL: Plucking/Waxing - stimulates blood flow to the area thus nourishing hair follicles (all nutrients are delivered to tissue via blood). Short term hair growth is stimulated. However long term plucking/waxing etc can cause damage to hair follicles and even destroy them, resulting in less hair rather than more hair on the area in question.

CHEMICAL: Drug Induced Hair Follicle Stimulation - fFor example: hair growth on face can be stimulated by taking an oral hormonal drug. Same with hairs on head. Chemicals can be applied topically (regain and other over the counter products) or injected (stem cells, vitamin/mineral blends - injections for hair growth)

Hair removal for women on lip area will it return if using waxing or grow thicker is it a permanent removal?

With waxing, it will grow back. The only permanent solution is laser removal, which is rather costly for most people.

Hair will not necessarily grow thicker. You just have to make sure that you wax just like the instructions say, and press firmly before pulling back, to make sure that each hair is completely extracted, because sometimes it just breaks off very close to the skin(which would have basically the same result as shaving), but it usualy happens with thin, weak hairs only. When that happens, the hair wont be visible so you wont notice at first, but it will grow back a bit thicker.

Bottom line is, don't wax unless you absolutely have to. If the hair is fine/medium and not that long, bleach it instead (use only special bleach for facial hair). In fact, i would recommend trying bleaching it first, and if you dont like it like that, you can always wax it afterwards.

Hope i helped! :)Hair removal for women on lip area will it return if using waxing or grow thicker is it a permanent removal?
to tell ya the ABSOLUTE TRUTH anything u will do it will need maintenince for as long as u still have hair on ur head now another question is how long will it last? everybody's wax tretment is diffrent beacause their hair grows at a diffrent rate so it all depends on u !

~hope i helped uHair removal for women on lip area will it return if using waxing or grow thicker is it a permanent removal?
no matter what you do unwanted hair will always return. For some people it may grow thicker. in that case you may have to wax more often. If the hair is no long then dont even wax!!!
It will actually make the hair lighter and thinner.
waxing is not permanent. but it last much longer and is better for you than shaving and it will be much smoother,
wax isnt permanent depeneding on the person itll probably grow back in 2 weeks or so... some get lucky and doesnt grow for a couple of months...
A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
with waxing it doesnt grow thicker. Hair do come back, because waxing isnt a permanent hair removal method. Shaving causes thicker hair, waxing regrows them in natural form.I am sure there must be some permanent hair removal system
You will need laser hair removal to be permanent which will cost $300-$500 for 5-6 treatments on your upper lip.

What low-maintenance hairstyle do you recommend for a woman with dark, thick, course and straight hair?

Assuming she has an oval-shaped face. . .

Thanks everyone! What low-maintenance hairstyle do you recommend for a woman with dark, thick, course and straight hair?
well if you don't want your hair to be thick

i'd say layer it to remove some of the bulk.

since your face is oval you're in luck

because people with an oval face shape

can basically pull off any look. i love the look

of layered hair and bangs so i'd say go with that

and it's easy to manage. What low-maintenance hairstyle do you recommend for a woman with dark, thick, course and straight hair?
cut it a bit shorter with shart layers. then you havent even got to really brush it just wax it n make the layers stand out its a great look....

I would try going to a professional hair stylist %26amp; see what they say.
i'm a hairstylist- i'm puertorican and i relax my hair with cream of nature- use the herbal mix relaxer- it's the best and won't burn ur scalp. don't forget to leave ur scalp dirty enough when u are going to relax ur hair. as far as color for permed hair it is always best to use semi permanent tints, u can also add ';gray magic'; drops into the color mix to cover gray. it works wonderfully! good luck..
you should go see a hair dresser.... color the hair is very tricky..

to find the right one, just ask around and see where others go...

What is the BEST type of relaxer for a woman of color with thick hair?

I would like a relaxer that gives me the BEST results. What is the BEST type of relaxer for a woman of color with thick hair?
My beautician uses this relaxer system called Kink years ago. It made my hair as straight as a white girl and I got some steel-wool stuff that you would not believe!!! Since I can no longer afford to go to the beauty shop I use Soft Sheen-Carson Optimum Relaxer. It does wonders for my thick hair. As with any home relaxer system, I would recommend doing the allergy and strand test so you know if that particular brand of relaxer is correct for your hair. What is the BEST type of relaxer for a woman of color with thick hair?
Dark And Lovely! I've used it for years and love it!
Mizani- Has an extensive product line. Professional quality. Predictable results. Consult a stylist. Do not relax at home without experience. May be the difference between beautiful, flowing locks %26amp; a bald head.
JAPANESE STRAIGHTENING SYSTEM ALL THE WAY! Its the best for all types of hair. The best salon people use it! Ranges from $500-$1200.

(Also alot of black salon hair straightening sytems are not good even though they are ment for african americans)
Do you want to know of a perm that you can do at home or that you get done at a beauty shop?

i would say try to keep it long unless you have a great product that doesnt make it frizzzy and big. if its straight and thick then you can go with anything pretty much, but if it has some wavy or curl then i would try to keep it long and use some moose.

What is the best organic hair vitamin for women? I need it to get thicker and longer.?

Do you know any home remedies or creams to help hair grow long and healthy? What is the best organic hair vitamin for women? I need it to get thicker and longer.?
Theres really nothing that will make it grow super quick.... but here are some tips to keep your hair growing nicely

~When washing, massage your scalp really good to let the blood flow

~Don't get weaves or wigs too often because the REALLY pull at your hair

~Use good shampoos and conditioners that don't have petrolum or mineral oil which are horrible for your hair

    ~Keep your hair moistuized

~Exersize and drink toooooooooooons of waterWhat is the best organic hair vitamin for women? I need it to get thicker and longer.?
Wash your head every 10 days or so with egg. To do that: Crack one egg plus another yolk in a cup, add warm water (Not too hot! Or egg will curd鈥? while constantly mixing to prevent egg from curding.

Get your hair wet in hot water. Lean your head forward over a clean bucket (or a really big salad bowl), and pour the egg mixture on your head, massaging the egg into your scalp. Add more water to the egg that drips into the bucket, and then rub it into your scalp again. Do that a few times. Then rinse it off.

To strengthen the hair roots, do the same method as above. Then massage another egg yolk into the scalp, and wrap your head in a thick towel for about 10 minutes. Rinse after.

    Hope this helps.

And, I don't mean LONG and THICK hair, I mean THICK stubble, even ... like a man's face ...What works best for shaving legs for a woman with THICK hair?
Waxing. What works best for shaving legs for a woman with THICK hair?
    Use mens razors!

i'm sure they're much stronger. and try sweet almond oil or coccoa butter oil instead of using shaving foam.
Well suggestion, use men razor or wax or use Nair, no shaving required just simply Nair lotion rubbed and wipe off afterwards, make sure test it before use it, some people are allergic to the products.
I have thick hair and the only razor that works well for me is my man's mach 3 razor. So smooth!
i would wax... your hair doesn't come back stubbly plus you can go longer in between waxings. eventually, your hair won't grow back in some areas if you do it long enough. give it some thought. its super cheap if you buy the kind at Walgreens.
use a shaving lotion or cream, and make sure you find a good razor. I personally prefer the Venus razors. They can get that thick hair very easily. Hope this helps you! You don't have to waste your money on the Venus ';Divine.'; It's all the same!
something that i use is conditioner... it might sound weird at first but it really works and it keeps them smooth or a while
a razor and shaving cream haha
why doesn't that person go to a salon and have her legs wax? i think that always works with people in either gender
ya i agree with linds those work the best ,but when you are done, use lotion

Question for women with long &/or thick hair - how often do you shampoo your hair?

every two to three days. (that doesn't mean i don't BATH every day..i just skip the hair)

your hair has protective oils that keep it strong and moisturized. over shampooing can damage the crap out of your hair.

most ppl with REALLY brittle overly dry or overly oily hair think it's from the sun or their hair spray and curlers etc. but it's just that they are stripping the moisture out of their hair with shampoo, and YES oily skin can be caused by lack of moisture. sounds strange...but you'd have to read up on it. i went to beauty school. i learned a lot about hair/skin/nail care.Question for women with long %26amp;/or thick hair - how often do you shampoo your hair?
Everyday. I have thick hair but the strands are really fine. So it gets icky from the products after that day. I don't have split ends or anything. Sometimes they get a little dry and I just get a trim. I guess I have good hair.Question for women with long %26amp;/or thick hair - how often do you shampoo your hair?
I have shoulder length thick and naturally wavy hair I wash it every couple of days and leave to dry naturally when I can be bothered I do straighten it but it can take ages.
My hair is long and there's lots of it. I find it easier to wash it every day, and I hate the feeling if I can't wash it for more than two days.
If I'm working, every 3 to 4 days. If I'm at home, once a week.
i do mine twice a week
about every 3 days.....more often if i sweat alot or get dirty.
once a week it takes too long to dry
every 3 days, it looks too fluffy and frizzy otherwise.
Once every two weeks, because my hair is naturally dry it doesn't get as dirty or oily, so I don't have to wash it as often.
    daily...middle of my back
long, thick, and wavy. i shampoo every 2-3 days. my hair gets kind of greesy, but if i shampoo too often I become a poofball. I have to chose on or the other...
every two weeks because my hair is curly and curly hair is drier than regular straight hair.
Both my daughters have long hair ~ one a lot thicker than the other. It depends on how dry/greasy your hair is. Both my girls tend to wash theirs every other day but then they do put a lot of products in it like straightening balm, shining oil on the ends etc.
i shampoo only twice a week but i shower and use just conditioner daily well almost daily
    once a week
Everyday. I know its bad for my hair but I'm used to it.
I have Long... thickish kind of hair and i usually wash it every other day because anylonger then it gets too greasy and any sooner it goes horrible.
Since my hair and skin are dry, I probably only use shampoo about once a week. Even then, most of the time it is mixed with conditioner, which has mild cleaning agents in it and will clean my hair without drying it. Sometimes I use only the conditioner, and only rarely do I use straight shampoo. It depends on what my hair needs that particular time.
i wash my hair every 2-3 days, unless i have it curly and dont straighten it, in which case i have to wash it everyday. good luck
every other day (Monday, then Wednesday, then Friday etc), I find when I wash my hair every day then it looks like it hasn't been washed in a couple weeks by the time I go to bed
    Once a week.
    every other day

my hair gets really staticy so i spay it with conditioning spray(aussie hair insurance leave in conditioner) before i brush it
mine is long and thin Every day
mine needs cleaning every few days due to looking very greasy its always at the front if im in a hurry and dont have time to blow dry the whole lot i wash the front ,my friend sticks on a baseball cap instead.
I have hair down to my waist, and shampoo it about once every two weeks.
    every day
    once a fortnight
i have to wash my hair everyday, my hair is long and straight but when i wake up in the mornings its curly so have to wash daily just so i can stile it properly

    Head and shoulder.
Aubrey Organics - devoid of sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate, the sudsing agent in standard shampoos that is very drying to hair and scalp.

I have very thick, very wavy hair, and will not use anything from the drugstore shelf ever again.
    Palmolive Shampoo
Cheap answer = Loreal Kids. It works wonders!!!! JK. But it is a really good shampoo for adults %26amp; kids. Makes your hair super soft %26amp; shiny. (: STAY A KID FOREVER.
tea tree oil you can get it at sallys beauty supply.
Pantene works best but I think it is important to rotate shampoo's and conditioners to get clarifying, volume, etc.
Pantene. I ask a hair stylist who does hair for runway models, and he said Pantene as well.
I use Pureology - you can only get it at a hair salon. It's a bit expensive but well worth it!
    um i would say motions
Head and Shoulders. It's a shampoo and at the same time a conditioner!

This is for women only: I'm a girl and thick hair started to grow in weird places ...is this normal?

OK, I know this sounds terrible, please don't laugh. Hair started to grow right below my navel, and it looks gross. It also started growing around my nipples. Is this normal? I feel less than feminine, and sad and ugly. I'm even afraid of having sex, I don't want guys running away of my ugly tummy and boobs. I tried plucking the hair out but they are growing under my skin, so that left lots of small red spots. Had this ever happened to you? What did you do? Help!!!This is for women only: I'm a girl and thick hair started to grow in weird places ...is this normal?
Hi, Your not alone, Lots of women get hair in those area's sometimes it's a normal thing but it could be caused by taking birth control medication and sometimes a more serious problem with your thyroid or just some kind of imbalance with your hormones. I would make an appointment with your doctor just to make sure, but you'll be fine. As for me I always pluck the ones around my nipples and shave the ones below my navel. OK, no one has to know you do this but I guarantee someone you know has had the same problem, just because we are women doesn't mean we can't get hair anywhere that men do,so just don't worry with it, besides any man worth having wont be bothered with such things. So take care and good luck! This is for women only: I'm a girl and thick hair started to grow in weird places ...is this normal?
yes this is normal for some girls...i know for me i grow hair under my neck, and i just shave it off. when i was little people would always come up to me and try to grab it and i would just get all embarrassed. just be glad you arent growing a mustache or a beard! i would just shave it off and see what happens, and dont get embarrassed!
If you didn't have them before check with a doctor cause it may be a sign of hormones inbalance. If it's not medical you can always wax them, if it makes you feel better.
No this hasn't happened to me. I think, you must be producing too much testosterone, a male hormone. Are you taking birth control pills? I have known women who took the pill and grew hair on their face and had to have it waxed. When they stopped the pill, the hair returned to normal not noticeable. If you are taking the pill, this could be the reason. Maybe you need a lighter dose.
I had several wild hairs grow in on my nipples and under my chin after starting birth control pills. If you are on the pill talk to your gyno and if you're not on the pill then have your hormones checked. Usually hirtsuism is caused by excessive testesterone. Yes, girls have testosterone too.
YES ITS VERY NORMAL I DONT KNOW HOW OLD YOU ARE BUT IN YOUR 30 AND SOMETIMES EARLIER THIS HAPPENS TO EVERY WOMEN IT IS A HOMONE THING. I ALSO GET THEM ON NIPPLES AND UNDER JAWLINE AND SOMETIMES AT THE CORNERS OF MY TOP LIP . PLUCKING DONT HELP I JUST USE MY RAZOR IN THE SHOWER . THEY WONT STOP COMEING ITS JUST PART OF LIFE
i get little hairs on my belly like that, i just wax them. its not that weird its just hormones.. if you do wax test a small area to make sure youre not alergic

    good luck
    Hiyah.....

It could be normal if you're still going through puperty, taking any contraceptives (oral, injection etc) or even pregnancy. You havent mentioned your age.... i think the best advice anyone could offer you is to speak to your doctor.......

Women go through changes as they grow older and the balance of oestrogen and testosterone levels will have an affect on the body. Every woman is different, depending on genetics etc. Your doctor will be able to help you with your concerns and tell you if there is any imbalance in your hormones.

    Good luck....
Whats your nationality? Might sound weird, but people of Spanish and Indian backgrounds (pretty much darker nationalities) do tend (not always) to get hairs like your are describing (or just dark haired people in general...). I have some Indian in me and yes, I have the same things you are discribing. It is normal.

The absolute best is Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free, plus...it smells AWESOME! Organix has different collections for different hair types in different scents which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Wal-Mart, Rite-Aid, etc. You'll love it!!!

    .
my favorite is loreal vive pro nutri gloss. it smells really good but not overwhelming like some shampoos and it leaves your hair soft and incredibly glossy.
Pureology is fantastic stuff, however it is quite pricey. You can only purchase it from salons, but I have found it is worth the incovenience and the price. It makes my hair feel salon fresh every time I use it.
Panteen ProV shampoo AND conditioner (not the 2 in 1, buy them seperate.) . . the green label.

I have super curly hair. And it's also very thick, this is what I use and I looove it.
    Sleek and smooth
I think Dove shampoo would work best. It smells amazing and makes thick hair soft and shiny after 3 uses.

What's the best kind of haircut/style for women with extrememly thick hair?

I have hair that is very thick, and I just can't deal with it being long and on my neck anymore. It is also straighter in front, wavy on the sides and curly in the back....if you can imagine that. So I am looking for a shorter cut that I can still style nicely with out a lot of fuss. Any suggestions??What's the best kind of haircut/style for women with extrememly thick hair?
I recently chopped off a lot of my very thick hair after also getting sick of it. One of the easiest styles that I use for work is to get some nice headbands and just wash, comb, and put in the band. It gets a cute fanned-out look behind me, stays out of my face and isn't long enough to bother me. As for tips with the different textures of your hair, talk to your hairstylist. Maybe a loose perm in some areas so that you have wave and curls all around? Or vice versa straighten the curly parts. I got mine cut about 1/2 inch below my ears and no bangs. What's the best kind of haircut/style for women with extrememly thick hair?
Whatever length you go with, get long layers cut in! It will cut down on the poofiness and give it movement, not to mention making it feel lighter
I also have extremely thick hair, and I used to wear it short (think Paige Davis from Trading Spaces). While I was growing it out, I had long layers put in my hair and asked my stylist to thin out my hair with a razor, and it felt so much better. It will also give your hair more of a bounce to it.

Something like this would be cute:

    http://www.fayette.k12.in.us/~cbeard/cal鈥?/a>
A long layered bob would look really cute on you. The layering will remove heavy layers of hair from brushing your neck al the time and the bob make any face the focal point of your style.
Go with Shag Layering. It's a really simple hair cut and it will thin your hair out just a little. If layering is simply crazy talk for you, then try a simple bob, like Keira Knightley(below).
I think layers are great you can brounce them and for some weired reason, it makes u feel so sexy and untouchable when you have bouncy haur. You can also google penelope cruz and see how her hair is and see if u like it cause she has a lot of hair too.
i would say layers cuz there cool
yah try layers.. that sound help with ur thick hair..good luck
    LOL, I can imagine that....

Why don't you ask your cosmo to thin your hair out, I don't recommend using a razor to thin curly hair, but she can use a pair of thinning shears on your hair to take some of the bulk out and see if that doesn't help somewhat.

Us people with curly hair would give our eyeteeth to have board straight hair, but the trick is to learn to style it, either using a flat iron, or to enhance the curl. I go through spells with either way...and I have thick THICK hair, thats kinky curly.

So..before you go and cut it all off, talk to your professional about thinning it out, she should have taken the bulk out anyways without you having to ask.....but some don't think about it.
